HALLOWEEN 2 news is spreading like wild fire lately. I can’t blame the net going abuzz over the sequel considering the changes that’ve been made in under a month. First the directing duo of Alexandre Bustillo and Julien Maury back off the project then it’s announced that Rob Zombie will return to the town of Haddonfield. Not to mention the news that Tyler Mane will be returning as Michael Myers and the teaser poster already released. To cap it off we got a look at another teaser image just yesterday.
So what’s the deal? Want to know more? What better way to update everyone than to give you the lowdown from the man himself, Mr. Zombie! FearNET’s Spider, who happens to be the brother of Zombie, spoke to the director concerning everything and anything HALLOWEEN 2. Zombie mentioned several noteworthy tidbits like confirming Tyler Mane as already signing on. He also dropped word that they’re currently scouting for a new location to shoot the movie and that Tyler Bates will be tapping the score. He mentions how Malcom McDowell and Scout Taylor-Compton (below) are both down to return but nothing is official yet. He even updates us all on TYRANNOSAURUS REX. So this thing is definitely happening and it seems Zombie is stoked. I guess that’s a good sign… only time will tell. As a big fan of the HALLOWEEN franchise I’m a bit skeptical about this. I wasn’t huge on Zombie’s first attempt but I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt and look forward to this one until I see something that points me the other way.
