This week we’ve already seen the official announcement that Rob Zombie will be directing HALLOWEEN 2 (H2), as well as the official teaser artwork, and even some casting rumors. What a busy week–and it’s not over yet! According to Zombie’s official MySpace blog, Tyler Mane will be back as Michael Myers in the second go-round!
Actually, as Zombie put it himself, There ain’t no new Michael Myers. It’s Tyler Mane again f*ckers! It’s nice to see Zombie is stoked and excited to bust out this sequel… and yeah, he even seems like he’s having fun with making all these H2 announcements. If it ain’t fun, why do it, right?
Mane did a decent job as Myers, probably up there with classic masked villain Kane Hodder, in terms of great physical acting, and an amazing way to convey relentless terror without showing his face or saying any words.
The only downside to Zombie tackling H2? We’ll have to wait even longer for TYRANNOSAURUS REX. That shit sounded way cool… ah well, maybe in 2010, eh?
