Last month we pointed you towards some clips for OUTLANDER. Well today we’ve finally got a release date for the Jim Caviezel sci-fi adventure! Box Office Mojo tells us OUTLANDER will see the light of day on January 23, 2009! Nice!
That’s just about a month away! In case your just catching on to OUTLANDER, let me tell you what this bad boy is about. During the reign of the Vikings, Kainan, a man from a far-off world, crash lands on Earth, bringing with him an alien predator known as the Moorwen. Though both man and monster are seeking revenge for violence committed against them, Kainan leads the alliance to kill the Moorwen by fusing his advanced technology with the Viking’s Iron Age weaponry.
WTF indeed! But my gut says that’s a very good WTF. Dirk Blackman and Howard McCain penned the script with McCain directing. It stars Caviezel, Sophia Myles (below), Jack Huston, Ron Perlman, John Hurt, John Beale, Katie Bergin (below), Matt Cooke, Aidan Devine and the gorgeous Amy Kerr as ‘Bored Kitchen Wench.’ That sounds like a character I’d really enjoy!
So get ready to visit the Viking-ruled Earth with Mr. Caviezel on January 23rd!
