Not too long ago we got a look at the new trailer and poster for the upcoming FRIDAY THE 13TH remake. Now while there’s been a mixed reaction towards both pieces of media, the overall feedback has been positive. I for one dig both the trailer and the poster. If you’ve put your opinion out there, and think it’s all for nothing, you’re dead wrong. No pun intended. Platinum Dunes’ Brad Fuller is a man on a mission and tracks down as much chatter as he can in regards to his films.
How do I know this? Well the man posted a new entry over at Platinum Dunes’ official blog. There he talks a bit about THE UNBORN’s recently released trailer and let’s us know we can expect some sweet TV spots in a couple weeks.
He also talks a bit about the new FRIDAY THE 13TH media I mentioned above. He gives some insight towards the countdown element in the new trailer (which you can see below) as well as some questions towards the new poster (which you can see above). He also gives a little tease on what more we can expect to see:
“I want to let you in on something- and Warner Bros. would kill me if I give too much away, but suffice to say that the poster isn’t the only imagery you’ll be seeing for the movie – and what is coming will blow you away. It is coming soon and when you see it – you’ll know what I am talking about.”
Sounds good to me! I’ve made it no secret that I’ve been stoked for this flick ever since it was first announced, so the closer we get to it’s release the better. It would really suck if the flick turns out to be bad… but that’s a chance I’m willing to take. Another bit of FRIDAY THE 13TH news comes from ShockTillYouDrop today, where a new still for the flick has popped up. It features Jason wearing the infamous sack over his beautiful face. FRIDAY THE 13TH comes from director Marcus Nispel and stars Jared Padalecki, Amanda Righetti (below), Derek Mears, Danielle Panabaker, Willa Ford, Travis Van Winkle, Aaron Yoo,and many others. Keep it here for any more updates as we await the February 13th release date.
