Dead Snow pics!

Whoever thought of the idea for a horror comedy about Nazi zombies ought to be given the Nobel Prize. Well, actually, whoever thought of the idea as well as everyone else that worked to make it come off so wonderfully should share in the award. The film I’m speaking of is called DEAD SNOW and the two who will be most likely up on stage accepting the award will be director and co-writer Tommy Wirkola and co-writer Stig Frode Henriksen.

And just our luck, a bunch of brand new pics from the flick have been dug up by Shock Till You Drop. Just check out the pissed off bloody bastard up top. I sure wouldn’t want to get caught accidentally snow-tubing into him! You’ll find one more pic down below and the rest here. Now take a bite out of DEAD SNOW’s synopsis:

A group of teenagers had all they needed for a successful ski vacation; cabin, skis, snowmobile, toboggan, copious amounts of beer and a fertile mix of the sexes. Certainly, none of them anticipated not returning home alive! However, the Nazi-zombie battalion haunting the mountains had other plans.

When can I see this?! The flick is set to release on January 9th 2009 in, unfortunately, Norway. But don’t fear. I’m betting that the U.S. will be snatching up a release date faster than a freshly packed and flung snowball. The cast is composed of Norwegian stars Ane Dahl Torp, Jenny Skavlan, Bjørn Sundquist, Charlotte Frogner, Stig Frode Henriksen, Jeffpe Lauresen, and Evy Kasseth Røsten. And don’t forget to watch out for those Nobel Prize nominations!
