Cox Summons Castle

I was just thinking to myself the other day, “geez, it’s been awhile since we’ve been hit with an entertaining, yet trashy, horror flick from Dark Castle.” And look what happens… today The Hollywood Reporter announces another Dark Castle flick is now greenlit for production!

Dark Castle’s next will be THE SUMMONER, from director James Cox (WONDERLAND) and writer Matthew Sand (NINJA ASSASSIN), which goes a little something like this: a young man experimenting with the dark arts who summons a supernatural being to our world. When his control begins to slip and the situation turns deadly, he must stop the onslaught of evil before it’s too late.

See, it’s called THE SUMMONER because this dude can summon evil supernatural beings… that’s so freakin’ original! I can’t wait! Seriously though, it sounds like it could be cool, and we should probably thank producer Joel Silver for not going for another remake of a 1950s horror classic. Plus, now I can get my Dark Castle fix–just what the doctor ordered!
