Roland Emmerich must have something against Earth. The man just loves destorying this planet we all call home. Why? Who the hell knows, but it’s damn fun to watch!

The trailer’s very simple, yet very effective. The visual effects are awesome, as they always are in Emmerich’s flicks. The teaser for 2012 basically just shows a huge wave of water spilling over a mountain range… but the tone of the teaser just has you on the edge of your seat. Go ahead and check that out yourself.
I’m definitely down for a huge adventure flick where John Cusack and Amanda Peet (below) race against mother nature as she destroys everything and everybody in the world. I’m talking floods, volcanoes, typhoons, glaciers, the works! The flick also stars Thandie Newton, Woody Harrelson, Danny Glover, and Oliver Platt. It’s set to hit theaters next summer on July 10.
