Parasomnia poster

What the hell is up with that paint-by-the-numbers Marilyn-Manson-looking mother-f*ckin’ face up top? That, my friends, is the new poster for the upcoming thriller PARASOMNIA. Now, I’m not quite sure how this exactly relates to the film, but damn, is it creepy. I can’t stare at it for more than a couple of seconds before longing to look away (and I don’t mean that as a bad thing). Ironically, the flick has somewhat of a warped fairy tale type of plot. Have a look:

A young woman suffers from the titular condition that causes her to be asleep for most of her life due to a childhood accident. She becomes the obsession of a mesmerist who shared hospital space with her. The mesmerist now plans to invade her dreams to take control of her, but an art student who has fallen in love with her may be able to save her before it’s too late.

I’d see this. Anyone else? PARASOMNIA was written and directed by William Malone (HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL). It stars Dylan Purcell, Cherilyn Wilson, Patrick Kilpatrick, Jeffrey Combs, Timothy Bottoms, Kathryn Leigh Scott, Brennan Bailey, Sarah Laine (below), and John Landis. It’s set for release in 2009.
