Peace Arch Entertainment is looking to acquire the North American distribution rights for an interesting-sounding serial killer flick with one sweet-ass cast. The movie is called TWO:THIRTEEN and I don’t believe it is referring to a time of day. Take a look at the plot and see if you can guess what the title is referring to:
A police profiler has just returned from psychiatric leave only to find that he is caught up in the rampage of a serial killer who has a love of Shakespeare. Fighting to keep buried the trauma of his childhood, the profiler must confront the all too-familiar flesh masks that the killer leaves on the faces of his victims. He must face his own demons along with the killer to save his small eroding existence.
Not bad, huh? Oh, did you guess the title’s reference? I bet it has to do with a stanza from Shakespeare (not that I know that much about the literary world). Now, on to that sweet-ass cast! And speaking of “sweet ass”, the first member I’ll announce is the lovely Teri Polo (below), who will be playing a detective overseeing the investigation of the serial killer, Mark Thompson (who also wrote the script) plays the profiler, Mark Pellegrino plays a target of the killer, crazy Dwight Yoakam plays a colorful club owner who becomes a source during the investigation, and the hilarious Kevin Pollak has a supporting role as the psychiatrist who treats Thompson’s character.
I believe this all amasses to one potentially kick ass thriller. Hopefully we’ll be hearing about a U.S. release soon. TWO:THIRTEEN was directed by Charles Adelman.
