Back in September we told you about a little horror flick called DARK WOODS (check that shite out HERE), and today… today we learned that, after 14 days of grueling principal photography, the film has wrapped and is now deep into post-production.

Lucky for us they sent along a gaggle of behind-the-scenes images from the film (only one of which is set in the woods, and none set in the dark woods), which stars Tracy Coogan and James Russo. As a reminder, DARK WOODS follows a couple who moves to a secluded cabin in the woods to cope
with a terminal illness of the wife. As the wife’s condition drags her deeper
into dementia and darkness, the husband’s friendship with a local teenage girl
takes a dangerous and obsessive turn.

Written by John Muscarnero and directed by Mike Escobedo, DARK WOODS is supposed to be similar to the works of Roman Polanski, David Lynch, and Michael Haneke… then again, if I were to make a movie, I’d probably compare it to the likes of Steven Spielberg, James Cameron, and David Fincher… but maybe that’s just me!

Anyway, here’s the slash of new images from the flick featuring the cast and filmmakers alike–stick around for more updates on DARK WOODS as they roll our way!
