SEASON OF THE WITCH is gearing up to be one of the bigger genre upcoming genre flicks–not so much because of the size of its budget or the amount of blood and guts, but more because of the amount of star power it’s emitting already.
Nicolas Cage and Ron Perlman are already on board as The Hollywood Reporter announced a new member to join the cast: Stephen Graham. Wait, wait, wait… Stephen WHO?
No worries, I doubt any of you know who Graham is because I didn’t even know who Graham is until I looked him up, andI still don’t know who he is, other than he’s a British actor who has been in quite a few things… but is still relatively unknown in Hollywood.
So much for the streak of stars… oh well, can’t have all big names, right? Graham will play a swindler and a navigator in the flick, which is about a group of knights in 14th century France who must transport a woman accused of witchcraft to a mountain abbey, where the monks will seek to understand and destroy her powers, believed to be the source of the Black Plague.
Has anyone else been afraid this movie was a remake of HALLOWEEN 3, based on the title and all? Man, my heart jumps just thinking about what an atrocity that would be. Anyway, more on this totally unrelated SEASON OF THE WITCH as we hear it!
