Is it just me or does it feel like we’re going through a slight FRIDAY THE 13TH craze? Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with that at all. Actually I’m loving it. The new trailer hit the other day and it seems like every horror fan out there is talking about it. It’s not too often you see a teaser trailer get people talking like this one has.
Well following that hype we’ve got the official website for FRIDAY THE 13TH going live! You can check that out right over here. It’s not much but still. Some cool flash, the two stills that’ve been released for the movie, the trailer, and some downloads. The downloads actually include a ‘print it and wear it’ Jason mask and a FRIDAY THE 13TH iron-on logo… so that’s pretty sweet.
So now that that’s out of the way, let’s get to the technical stuff. FRIDAY THE 13TH is produced by Michael Bay’s Platinum Dunes with THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE’s Marcus Nispel directing. The script comes from Damian Shannon and Mark Swift, who happen to be the duo that penned FREDDY VS. JASON. It stars Jared Padalecki, Danielle Panabaker, Amanda Righetti, Tavis Van Winkle, Derek Mears, Aaron Yoo, and Willa Ford (below). It’s hitting theaters everywhere on Friday, February 13.
