Now that THE RED HOURS Sitges screening has come and gone
(read about its
ups and downs here), I’ve been getting
e-mails asking me "Arrow when will you review The Shining" and “now what” for THE RED HOURS. So here’s where the film is
at.
The first step is me re-entering the editing room to slightly change my cut,
polish the piece, bring out its qualities further and get additional color
correction/sound design done. What we showed at Sitges was a rough cut, time to
nail down the final cut. It should be said, that Sitges was great for me as it
acted as a test screening for the film, hence off the varied feedback I got,
I now have new ideas as to how to better the damn thing.
Once done, the film will play in a couple more Festivals come next year, am
working on that as we yap and
after that all depending on how that run goes, the film will either be slapped online for
all to see, destroy, spit on or fall in lust with or it will get some kind of proper
distribution (something else I’m looking into)… not sure yet. So there you
have it. Thanks to all that have supported our little film thus far. You can
check out a clip from it below. The Red Hours stars Deke Richards, Heather
Westwood and Amy Wickenheiser. It was co produced and shot by Donny Broussard.
