WANTED – December 2nd
I never saw this flick in theaters… and I’ve been kicking myself for it ever since. I can blame laziness, I can blame loosing track of time, but mostly I blame myself and my stupidity for flaking out on one of the cooler movies of the summer (or so I’ve been told). Not only is there a barebones single disc, but there’s a packed 2 disc set… and then the utlimate special edition set with all sorts of cool shite! For the hardcore WANTED fan who has everything else, the 2 disc special edition is where it’s at… and just in time for the holidays!

ANAMORPH – December 9th
I can’t put my finger on it, but there’s something about this DVD cover that I simply can’t get enough of. At first glimpse it’s a throw-away floating heads cover that we’ve seen a gabillion times since the mid 90s. But if you look closer, you’ll notice the artistry in that skull, and the weird way each of those floating heads appears to be… dare I say it… painted? Or at least photoshopped to look painted? Golden. Actually, it reminds me of some classic action movie VHS covers (Dafoe holding that gun like he’s Schwarzenegger in TRUE LIES and shit…), and for that… bravo!

TOKYO GORE POLICE – January 13th
There are certain movie titles that will go down in history as being awesome–regardless of the actual movie itself. THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE is one of them. And TOKYO GORE POLICE is another. I don’t even know what the movie is about, but with a title like that, you bet your ass I’d check it out and recommend it to my friends (just like I’m recommending it to you now). Love the school-girl uniform… and that samurai sword. TOKYO GORE POLICE, indeed.

MOONLIGHT: THE COMPLETE SERIES –January 20th – Because you probably didn’t even know this series ever existed in the first place!
DARKLIGHT –December 16th – Because it’s a Sci-Fi Origianl Movie Essential… so you know it’s gonna be good!
URBAN LEGENDS November 25th – Because it’s a documentary exploring real Urban Legends, and has nothing to do with BLOODY MARY or FINAL CUT.
