It’s been a long time since we’ve had an update regarding Quentin Tarantino’s INGLORIOUS BASTARDS, so color me surprised (and totally stoked) when I caught a wiff of some casting news and this new (to me, at least) teaser poster!
According to The Playlist, Julie Dreyfus (the translator who lost her arm in KILL BILL), Michael Bacall and Omar Doom (DEATH PROOF), and German actors Christian Berke and August Diehl have all been cast in the flick as well.
Dreyfus will be playing an interpreter for the Nazis, Bacall and Doom will be playing background bastards (bastards with no dialog), while Berke is rumored to be playing a Frenchman (maybe the dairy fairy in the beginning?). No word on who Diehl might be playing in the film.
Amidst all of these casting updates lies the teaser poster you see here, presented like an old piece of trash. Am I the only one who hasn’t seen this yet? It’s likely fanmade, but it looks pretty dope to me! A smoking bullet hole in the Nazi swastika? Priceless.
Tarantino’s goal is to have BASTARDS all ready to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in May… not sure it’s enough time, but here’s to hoping he can pull it off!
