Alan Ball, who won an Oscar for writing AMERICAN BEAUTY, is also the writer behind HBO’s vampire series TRUE BLOOD, which just got picked up for a second season. Since the guy obviously has some horror in him (he does write about vampires), it makes me a bit excited to hear about one of the next projects he has up his sleeve.

After chatting with MTV about acouple of scripts he’d like to take to the big screen, he had this to say when describing one of them: it’s a dark, dark comedy about a woman who just gets fed up with being a doormat…. And it’s got a body count!

All I needed to know is that it has a body count! I’m so there! Could it be one of the first black comedy slashers? From an Oscar winning writer? F*ckin’ A.

The other project was a screw ball comedy, so it’ll be interesting to see which if one, if either, make it to be the big screen. You never know, we might be seeing both sometime soon. In the meantime, be sure to check out TRUE BLOOD on HBO… I hear it’s awesome! For the full scoop, click HERE.
