Over a week ago I gave you all a look at the first set photos from Matthew Vaughn’s KICK-ASS. Well today /Film got a look at a trio of new set photos, highlighting some potentially awesome action.
Well maybe I’m going overboard a bit with the ‘potentially awesome,’ but from the looks of these photos there’s definately potential. You can scope out one of the three pics above, obviously showcasing some poor bastard crashing through the roof of a taxi.
The scooper goes on to say how this seems to be the opening sequence of the movie, with the camera eventually getting a closeup of the taxi’s license plate, which reads ‘Kick-Ass.’
Go ahead and click through above to check out the other two shots. KICK-ASS is about Dave Lizewski, an unnoticed high school student and comic book fan who one day decides to become a super-hero, even though he has no powers, training or meaningful reason to do so.
With a budget in the ballpark of $70 million and a script with the reputation of being way too violent for most studios, KICK-ASS is definately looking to be a sleeper of 2009… least that’s the feeling I’m getting. It comes from writer/director Matthew Vaughn with Jane Goldman also adding to the script. It stars Aaron Johnson, Nicolas Cage, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Lyndsy Fonseca (below), Clark Duke, Chloe Moretz, and Omari Hardwick.
