Producer-Director Philippe Martinez has just put together and awesome cast for the indie thriller THE STEAM EXPERIMENT. Check it: Val Kilmer, Armand Assante, Eric Roberts, and Patrick Muldoon! That’s not all. Also involved are Megan Brown, Quinn Duffy, Cordela Reynolds, and Eve Mauro (pictured below)!
So what the hell is this “steam experiment” everyone’s talking about? Read on!
Kilmer plays a former university professor who overheats his hostages to prove that humans will devolve into chaos under the pressures of global warming. He tells a detective (Assante) that their location will be revealed if his hypothesis is printed as the local paper’s front-page headline.
The six potential victims are a former pro football player (Roberts), a former actress (Brown), a nurse (Muldoon), a waitress (Mauro), a restaurateur (Duffy) and a writer (Reynolds). As temperatures rise, the desperate detainees fight for survival.
A powerhouse cast, a can’t-miss concept (timely and familiar), a director at the top of his game (coming off of WAKE OF DEATH): this is one we’ll be keeping an eye on.
