The Hollywood Reporter announced this morning that Canal Street’s upcoming horror flick MANEATER (nothing to do with the straight to DVD / cable MANEATER series) has just cast six actors for the film’s leading roles!
Directed by first time director Michael Emanuel, MANEATER (a film adaptation of the classic Hall & Oates classic song from the 80s… just kidding) is set to star Dean Cain, Conrad Janis, Stephen Lunsford, Walter Phelan, Maximillian Roeg, and Lacy Phillips. Wow–what a line up! Although, considering Cain’s last few films, it may not be a good sign that he’s involved with this flick. Then again, the guy did play Superman, so give him some respect!
MANEATER is about a former FBI profiler and small-town sheriff investigating mysterious murders is derived from a Native American legend.
A legend that eats humans! At least, that’s just what I’m guessing, but I could be totally wrong. No word if this is a planned theatrical or straight-to-DVD release, but I must admit… this thing as STD written all over it. Maybe it will follow in the steps of the other MANEATER series after all!
