Alright, well QUARANTINE is only two short months away so we’re gradually getting some media for the movie. That starts today with the launch of the flick’s Official Website.

The site itself isn’t much at all, boring actually. It does have a few extras, including a video I haven’t seen yet. So head on over here to check that out. What started as a semi-interesting viral campaign seems to have fizzled into nothing. Who knows though, maybe the virals will start back up for QUARANTINE.

The flick is a remake of the Spanish film [REC]. It’s directed by John Erick Dowdle, who penned the script with Drew Dowdle. Here’s a long syniopsis for the flick: Television reporter Angela Vidal (Jennifer Carpenter) and her cameraman (Steve Harris) are assigned to spend the night shift with a Los Angeles Fire Station. After a routine 911 call takes them to a small apartment building, they find police officers already on the scene in response to blood curdling screams coming from one of the apartment units. They soon learn that a woman living in the building has been infected by something unknown. After a few of the residents are viciously attacked, they try to escape with the news crew in tow, only to find that the CDC has quarantined the building. Phones, Internet, televisions and cell phone access have been cut-off, and officials are not relaying information to those locked inside. When the quarantine is finally lifted, the only evidence of what took place is the news crew’s videotape.

It stars Jennifer Carpenter (below), Steve Harris, Johnathon Schaech, Columbus Short, and Jay Hernandez. It’s slated to hit theaters October 10, so we’ll keep you updated.
