While I wasn’t sure what to expect from Paul WS Anderson’s remake of Roger Corman’s DEATH RACE 2000 (updated as simply DEATH RACE), I’ve heard from those who have seen it that it’s actually pretty entertaining. And the clips I’ve seen thus far have been pretty cool. Will this be the first movie Anderson didn’t poop all over? Could be!
IGN scored an exclusive clip from the film, a clip that is red-band and deemed too hardcore for the masses, and further goes to show that this movie might just kick all kinds of ass.
Considering it stars number one ass kicker Jason Statham and hottie Joan Allen (she may be older, but she is flippin’ HOT in this movie!), DEATH RACE is gearing up to be this summer’s biggest surprise. For me, at least, as I’m not a fan of Anderson’s previous work.
