Billy Bob Krueger?!

Robert Englund was on the late night radio show Loveline a few nights ago, and an eagle-eared listener named Blake heard what may have been a bombshell: Billy Bob Thornton is the man New Line is seeking out to slip on Freddy’s glove.

Now, we’ve confirmed that Englund actually did say this, as a few of our guys got on top of hunting down the interview. Still, we don’t know if Englund is just spoutin’ off, or if he really does know something concrete… Recall that Michael Bay and Billy Bob worked together on ARMAGEDDON

I can absolutely picture Thornton as the PRE-burning Kruger, and don’t really doubt that with the right make-up he can pull off playing the cackling dream-f*cker (of course, he’ll have to nix the Southern accent).

Plus, Billy Bob is capable of doing Anything because he managed to nail Angelina Jolie when she was without a doubt the hottest woman on the face of the planet. The man’s a wizard, has seen things we can only dream of, so we should not question whether or not he can pull this gig off, if indeed it goes to him…

SPIT BULLETS below and let us know how this sits in your beer-filled stomach!

Yup, the bastard is pure evil…
