Back in March we learned that John Hillcoat’s adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s THE ROAD has been scheduled to hit theaters in November (check that out HERE ). Today, courtesy of USA Today , we have the first pic from THE ROAD, featuring star Viggo Mortensen!
Mortensen stars alongside Robert Duvall, Charlize Theron, Guy Pearce, and Kodi Smit McPhee (the kid you see in the pic above) in the flick, which goes a little something like this: a father and son navigate a countryside devastated by an unnamed catastrophe.
The new image is one of bleakness, desperation, and Mortensen sporting a handgun and looking mighty pissed off. Seriously, I think if you stared at his face right now for too long… your head would explode !!!!
All kidding aside (or was I?), the new image isn’t all that exciting, but is more of a glimpse of what’s to come. I know one thing, it sure looks like an apocalypse of some kind happened there… and it’s a world I don’t wanna be a part of!
