Antichist scores money

Back in February, Lars Von Trier’s biggest fan gave us an update on his upcoming horror flick ANTICHRIST, saying that the flick would start filming this summer (check that out HERE). Here we are in the middle of summer, and it doesn’t look like ANTICHRIST has started filming… but it does appear like it has scored some financing!

According to Variety, Danish Film Institute and Filmstiftung Nordhrein-Westfalen (both German production companies) have thrown down a few million for the flick, which now has a budget of around $11M. Seems like a ton of money for a little horror flick, so lets hope Trier can use the money wisely and deliver a product people will want to check out!

So like the reports we had in February, it really does appear as though the movie will start filming soon. Of course, casting still has to happen, so it may be awhile before filming actually starts, but… the wheels are turning and it’s only a matter of time before the camera’s roll.

Stick around for more ANTICHRIST, about a couple who move to an isolated cabin after the death of their son, only to find sinister forces at play, as we hear it!
