There’s a flick we’ve been keeping you updated on called DEADER COUNTRY. It’s the sequel to DEAD COUNTRY and comes from director Andrew Merkelbach.

Today we have a look at the teaser trailer for the flick over in our videos section, so just scroll below and click the screen to check it out.

DEADER COUNTRY’s synopsis reads: From the director and star of Dead Country, comes the next tale of terror! Whilst wagging school, two teenage boys stumble across a strange hybrid creature, a beast that is half man, half alien and ALL zombie, which has managed to make its way unseen across desolate countryside to the town of Pleasance. Upon nursing the mutated zombie back to health, the teenagers unwittingly unleash a deadly new plague of the undead on the town’s populace. Now with a conscience and accompanied by a small group of eccentric locals, Orion is back to help battle the second legion of zombies. However, he is soon to discover a startling revelation that will alter the very fabric of his existence… It stars Ted V. Mikel, Danielle, and director Andrew Merkelbach.

We also learned today that Sara Karloff has a couple voice cameos in the flick. Sara of course being the daughter of genre legend Boris Karloff. Merkelbach had the following to say regarding Karloff’s cameos:

“I am in absolute awe of Boris Karloff. Seriously, what a brilliant actor. I’ve always been a fan of the Universal Horror films with Boris and Bela and now I’ve discovered other lost gems like “The Veil” TV series and the later Mexican horror films. All great fun. I have a great appreciation of the early beginnings of the horror genre. Sara’s been so supportive of the project and it’s been amazing to get a “Karloff” to star in one of our horror films.”

Just check out the still below and I gurantee you’ll be sold on DEADER COUNTRY, I know I am! DEADER COUNTRY is looking at a 2009 release while it’s predecessor, DEAD COUNTRY, is set to hit DVD this October via Brian Damage Films.

More than reason enough to be excited for DEADER COUNTRY.
