HALLOWEEN: THE 30TH ANNIVERSARY COMMEMORATIVE SET – September 23rd
Another year goes by, another damn version of HALLOWEEN hits DVD. But this time, there’s a difference… a big difference. Not only do you get the movie, but you get the extended version, you get it on Blu-ray, you get Halloween 4 & 5, and you get the sweet Halloween documentary that was put together five years ago for HALLOWEEN’s 25th birthday. Oh, and did I mention the sweetest thing of all? This set also features a replica of the Michael Myers mask–for your wall, for your room, for your chance to scare the crap outta your neighbors. Looks like Halloween actually hits in September this year…

PUSLE 2: AFTER LIFE – September 30th
What happens when you horribly remake a classic Asian horror film? You make a sequel and have it go straight to DVD, that’s what! At least, that’s what you do if you’re Dimension Films and we’re talkin’ about PULSE. I will hand it this: the cover with the chick melting into thick, black tar is pretty cool. Not sure about the ghosts or ghouls or what have you in the background, but the melting chick is cool. Worth a rental? Only for curiosity sake.

SKELETON KEY 2 – September 2nd
Speaking of unnecessary sequels, here’s one for THE SKELETON KEY–you know, the one starring hottie Kate Hudson. Yep, this straight to DVD sequel looks about as much fun as its predecessor… which wasn’t fun at all. No Kate Hudson in the second round sadly enough, but it does star… What? What’s that you say? This ISN’T a sequel to THE SKELETON KEY? This is just a low budget STD sequel of a movie simply called SKELETON KEY and has nothing to do with the Kate Hudson version? Well that sucks. And here my hopes were all up and shit…
