Tentacled Doom

If you enjoyed director MaT Kister’s THE GRAND HORROR (see the Pub’s review here) then you can bet your ballsack you’ll be into his next effort currently in production. It’s called OUTPOST DOOM and, according to Kister, it “isn’t a strict sequel, but it takes place within the same universe as THE GRAND HORROR, as events are referenced within it.” Okay, so what’s this DOOM all about? I’ll tell ya:

The story centers on a couple of cons who, while being chased by a large, Lovecraftian tentacled monster, seek shelter inside a large barn. Once inside, they come across a decapitated body and a group of strangers who do not trust them. As the story unfolds, people begin dying in vicious ways, causing everyone to distrust everyone else. The film is most definitely a monster movie, as there is a continual threat of the tentacle creature getting inside the barn, but with a murder-mystery twist that hopefully a lot of horror fans will really dig. Hint: the scariest monster isn’t the one outside…

I’m always up for monster movies with twists. I feel that it helps to keep the sub-genre fresh. Kister and his crew will be shooting this monster during 10 weekends this summer with a projected completion of late July. To help move things along, they’ll be editing as they go. Kister hopes to have OUTPOST DOOM finished and out on DVD by this December or January.

I just felt this story needed someone hot.
