More Halloween Comics

A couple days ago Mike got us all giddy with the news on a new HALLOWEEN comic coming out called HALLOWEEN: 30TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL.

While that should be enough to get your butcher knife erect, today we got word on 3 more HALLOWEEN comics making their way to shelves soon.

First up is SAM. SAM centers on… you guessed it, Dr. Sam Loomis. Longtime nemesis of Michael Myers. SAM isn’t actually making it’s way to shelves… instead it’ll be available completely free at Halloween Comics this month for a limited time only. SAM was written by Stefan Hutchinson and illustrated by Marcus Smith. It’s the story of Dr. Loomis’ last days. For some weird reason I’m assuming that’s definately worth a read.

Next we have the release of the paperback form of HALLOWEEN: NIGHTDANCE. This comes next month and the synopsis reads: On Halloween night, the lives of three teenagers from Russellville, Illinois are changed forever when Michael Myers comes to town, and not all of them will live through the night. It’s written by Stefan Hutchinson and drawn by Tim Seeley. PRE-ORDER IT HERE.

Lastly, there’s HALLOWEEN: THE FIRST DEATH OF LAURIE STRODE. I’m sold. Take my money now. This three part tale is the second series of HALLOWEEN, a new story that fills in a major story from the past. It’s set in the months following ‘Halloween Ii’, we will visit Laurie Strode and the citizens of Haddonfield as they try to come to terms with the events of Halloween, 1978. This one hits us in September.

If that picture above doesn’t sum up everything Michael Myers perfectly, what does? Now I’m a HUGE fan of everything HALLOWEEN and Michael Myers, so your telling me we can get backstory into some unanswered questions of the franchise? A look back at stuff that was maybe touched upon in the films? Sounds like any fan of the HALLOWEEN films will be stoked for this news.
