Perennial badass Dennis Quaid and convincing psycho Ben Foster (pictured; 3:10 TO YUMA, 30 DAYS OF NIGHT) will star in the futuristic thriller PANDORUM for producer Paul W.S. Anderson, reports ComingSoon.net. Overture Film will release the flick in the states. Christian Alvart (the long, long-awaited Renee Zellweger horror flick CASE 39) will direct from a Travis Milloy screenplay.

Pandorum is a dark and claustrophobic tale about two crewmen who awaken aboard their spacecraft, unaware of their mission or their identities. As they piece things together, the men make a harrowing discovery that threatens the survival of mankind.

I’m always a sucker for outer space thrillers – hell, I’m a fan of Anderson’s freaky EVENT HORIZON, and this sounds like it might be barking up that tree. We’ll keep you in the loop as this flick gets underway!

We may never see CASE 39, but we can still check out star Renee Zellweger!
