Just
got word from the DAVID camp about the status of the film. What or whom is
DAVID? Well it’s a supernatural thriller inspired by true events and it’s
written and directed by CHRISTOPHER WHITE. Here’s what it’s about:
A small family
from New York moves to an inherited farm house set in the middle of a
cornfield after dealing with a personal tragedy. Their problems are only
beginning when they arrive in this isolated location which inhabits a evil
entity that begins to manipulate their sanity resulting into murder and
mayhem.
White had this to say about his baby: “I wanted to bring horror back to it’s roots like
horror in the 70’s when they set out to really scare you psychologically.
David is a cross between The Amityville horror and The Changeling. This
isn’t the going to be the typical MTV style of horror of today with lots of
quick cuts and loud noises to make the audience jump. David is all about
slowly building the suspense factor then climaxing to a really disturbing
final act. It’s the kind of story that burrows deep under your skin and
stays with you long after you left the theater”.
Elaine (Superstar) Hendrix (pictured right) has signed on to play Rachel Fuller. Also, attached is Executive
Producer Sylvain White (Stomp The Yard, Ronin), Producers Drew Oppelt, Chris Sergi (Pastor Brown)
and Carol Ann Shine (The Human Contract).
They also have Cinematographer Christopher LaVasseur (Descent) and Automonous F/X
(makeup effects) on board. More casting news to be announced in the near future.
Production is slated to begin late summer/early Fall 2008. Till then, check
