TDK burns!

A few days ago Eric told us about a pretty sweet DARK KNIGHT trailer that was shown at the New York Comic Con. Well today there’s been a nice big update via the original TDK viral site.

WhySoSerious has dropped the first look at the new poster for THE DARK KNIGHT. Under it’s new page of course, titled ‘It’s All Part of the Plan.’ Scope the poster out above.

I’m definately digging that, then again I’ve been digging everything coming from DARK KNIGHT. The tagline is genius, the burning bat symbol is genius, the meancing looking Batman is genius. I even dig the fact that they listed the jam packed cast set to star in this one, which includes the gorgeous Maggie Gyllenhaal seen below. And to top it all off I’m going to assume that’s Wayne Towers burning bright thanks to that evil clown.

The site also offers the hint ‘Four days.’ Lots are guessing this to be a countdown to the new trailer… then again lots thought Joker’s last game was a countdown to the trailer and it only led to bowling balls. I guess we’ll find out what that wily bastard has up his sleeves in four days.

Now I’m all for them branching away from The Joker for the viral marketing, especially with the great Heath Ledger’s untimely death… but the stuff involving Harvey Dent and Jim Gordon just isn’t cutting it. Gordon’s project was updated recently with Operation Slipknot, but who the hell knows what’s going on with that. IBelieveInHarveyDent has also been updated recently with the aftermath of Dent’s hostage event. (It even has a small still of Dent himself.) But this stuff just isn’t snagging my interest as much as the Clown Prince of Crime has, and I’m sure I’m not alone.

Regardless, THE DARK KNIGHT hits theaters in less than 3 months and I’m sure America will still be checking this one out. So while we wait for these four days to tick away, click that poster above to get a MUCH bigger shot of it. Thanks to James for the heads up.
