It’s no secret that we all have high hopes for Sam Raimi’s DRAG ME TO HELL. As soon as it was announced horror fans everywhere rejoiced at the news of this legend coming back to the genre. He’s finally dropping the superhero outfit and trying to scare us silly again.
The last update we gave you on DRAG ME TO HELL came last month, when Ammon gave us word on three more names joining the cast. Well we have some more casting news today.
Nothing exciting, but according to Movieland actress Adriana Barraza is the newest name to join Raimi’s return to horror. DRAG ME TO HELL centers on a bank employee who denies an Eastern European gypsy a loan, humiliating her in front of others, thereby incurring her wrath in the form of a supernatural curse. Soon she’s fighting off a demon called “The Lamia.”
As stated, DRAG ME TO HELL is being directed by the great Sam Raimi with Raimi and his brother Ivan penning the script. So far the cast lined up includes the beautiful Alison Lohman (below), Barraza (above), Justin Long, Jessica Lucas, David Paymer, Reggie Lee, Lorna Raver, and Dileep Rao.
DRAG ME TO HELL is slated for release next year, as always we’ll keep you updated.
