It seems like Frank Miller’s THE SPIRIT is quickly becoming one of next year’s most anticipated movies. Less than a couple weeks ago Eric told you about the first teaser posters for the flick, which are pretty damn cool.
Now we’ve got a couple fresh stills from the flick courtesy of good ol’ Lionsgate. Scope those stills out above and below, click for a much larger shot. The above still features the always lovely Scarlett Johansson while the below still features the always badass Samuel L. Jackson as The Spirit’s villan, The Octopus. Plus there’s another picture of Scarlett below that, not related to the film (you’re welcome).
THE SPIRIT centers on a former rookie cop who returns mysteriously from the dead as the Spirit (Gabriel Macht) to fight crime from the shadows of Central City. His arch-enemy, the Octopus (Samuel L. Jackson) has a different mission: he’s going to wipe out Spirit’s beloved city as he pursues his own version of immortality.
It comes from the graphic novel by Will Eisner. Frank Miller adapted the script and will be directing this bad boy. It also stars Eva Mendes, Paz Vega, Jaime King, and Sarah Paulson. Greatest film ever?
