Trick/Treat gets f-ed

What the F is Warner Bros’ problem?! I have been waiting to see the Halloween-themed horror opus, TRICK ’R TREAT, for what feels like f*cking forever, yet they refuse to release it! First, it was supposed to come out this past October (2007). Then it got pushed all the way back to this Octorber (2008). And NOW, after dicking me around for over a year, it seems that Warner Bros is giving up on the flick altogether! They’re no longer releasing it!

According to B-D, a private “for sale” screening for TRICK ’R TREAT was held yesterday by Legendary Pictures (a Warner Bros partner). So now the flick has to worry about getting picked-up all over again before it even gets to consider another release date!

I just don’t get it! Not only does the plot sound super (I’ll show ya), but the flick has already been getting raves from early festival screenings! Plus, the trailer kicks ass (check it below and see what I mean). What more does a studio need?! If you have a cool, interesting movie, show some respect to the fans of the genre and f*cking release it! You WILL make money on it one way or another, you greedy bastards!

Okay, I just took some deep breaths. Enough yelling. I turn my focus now to the potential studios looking to snatch TRICK ’R TREAT back up and save it from “release limbo”. I say to you that this flick DOES have an audience as well as a very cool edge to it. Do the fans a favor and pick it up in time for a 2008 release preferably near Halloween! Thank you.

Here’s the as-promised plot: The film features four interwoven stories that occur on Halloween: An everyday high school principal has a secret life as a serial killer; a college virgin might have just met the one guy for her; a group of teenagers pull a mean prank; a woman who loathes the night has to contend with her holiday-obsessed husband.

And lastly, my fellow genre-freaks. Take a gander at the trailer and tell me if I’m crazy:
