We just received word that the graphic novel based on director Larry Fessenden’s chilling eco-horror flick, THE LAST WINTER, will be in stores this Wednesday, March 26th from Image Comics (artwork to the right).
Sadly, I never got a chance to catch THE LAST WINTER in theaters, but those who did couldn’t stop raving about it. It stars HELLBOY himself, Ron Perlman, as well as James LeGros and Connie Britton (below). The plot (which is the same as the graphic novel’s) goes like this: In the Arctic region of Northern Alaska, an oil company’s advance team struggles to establish a drilling base that will forever alter the pristine land. After one team member is found dead, a mania slowly claims the sanity of the others as each of them succumbs to a mysterious fear.
The graphic novel features 128 pages of awesome black and blue artwork by Glass Eye Pix Art Director Brahm Revel and script by screenwriters Larry Fessenden & Robert Leaver. So go and check out THE LAST WINTER at comic shops this Wednesday the 26th of March!
