David Goyer is good at what he does. Sure, that’s my opinion, but it’s hard to say otherwise. The man is all over the genre! He’s just recently started directing but holds a load of valuable writing credits. From DEMONIC TOYS to BLADE to JUMPER to THE DARK KNIGHT.
Well David Goyer’s next project is one he’s tackling as both writer and director, it’s a supernatural thriller that recently scored the boring title THE UNBORN, and last we told you about it, 5 names had joined the cast. Those names included hotties Meagan Good and Carla Gugino (below). Well Variety are reporting on one more name to join the ghostly fun, DEXTER star James Remar (above).
Works for me. THE UNBORN centers on a 19-year-old girl who is haunted by a dybbuk, the soul of a dead person barred from heaven, in the form of a young boy who perished in Auschwitz. Ghostly little kids always freak me out, so they’ve got me intrigued, plus with Goyer behind this one it’s got a lot of potential.
Not to mention the rest of the cast. Along with Good, Gugino, and Remar the films also stars Jane Alexander, Idris Elba, Rhys Coiro, the amazing Gary Oldman, and the absolutely gorgeous CLOVERFIELD star Odette Yustman.
So aside from the title, THE UNBORN is looking like a pretty decent original ghost flick. We’ll keep you updated on any more UNBORN news.
