Our friends over at Fango scored a couple of exclusive bloody-mouthed pics (one above, click HERE for the other) for the new horror/supernatural offering, THE CYCLE, which recently wrapped production. Not too shabby, I must say… well, my interest has been piqued. What’s the lowdown on this badboy?
For starters, it stars Daryl (KILL BILL) Hannah (below), Leah Gibson, Lee Tomaschefski, Maria Gruendling, Daniel Probert, Luke Camilleri, Jeb Beach and Twan Holliday. The man behind the camera is Michael Bafaro.
And according to the film’s executive producer, Evan Tylor, the plot reads: The Czech Republic-based project revolves around Carrie (Hannah), a woman who, while driving down a rural road, ends up giving a ride to the lone survivor of a massacre in the woods. Things aren’t quite what they seem, however, and Carrie soon learns that her passenger holds a deadly secret.
Tylor also adds that, “The decision to go into production on THE CYCLE was based on the script’s supernatural twist in what otherwise felt like it could have been [just] another genre flick. That story turn makes this film unique from similar films in theaters.”
That means he’s down with it, right? I believe so. I think I wouldn’t mind hitching a ride with this one. We’ll find out more soon. THE CYCLE will make its festival debut this May at the 61st Cannes Film Festival.
