Mitropoulos Films has teamed up with Myraid Pictures to distribute Dario Argento’s MOTHER OF TEARS… in it’s full NC-17 glory!
Looking to go theatrical, TEARS is aiming at June 6th as it’s day in the sun to be released to the upon the world. For the most part, I’ve heard nothing but mixed reviews for this flick, but as it’s NC-17 and stars the oh-so-lovely Asia Argento… well, that alone will land my butt in the theater to check this mother out!
No word on how WIDE the theatrical run will be, but considering it’s NC-17, I’m guessing very limited, as most theaters simply don’t play NC-17 movies. If you’re lucky, you live in an area where at least one theater has the balls to carry a movie like this.
Keep in mind release dates (such as this one) are subject to change, and this may (in fact) change a few times before it’s settled… but for right now it’s June 6th, and that’s A-Ok with me!
