The SAW franchise is one of the biggest franchises to come out in recent memory, with a new release the same time each year for coming up on the fourth year in a row, so it’s really no surprise they’ve decided to go a slightly different route this year. To coincide with SAW V’s release, they’ll also be releasing… SAW: the video game!
Coming at ya from Brash Entertainment, with close collaboration with series creators Leigh Whannell and James Wan, the SAW video game is taking the series and the sick and twisted games that Jigsaw likes to play to the next level, although this won’t be a rehash of the storyline’s we’ve seen before – nope, the video game will have it’s own unique storyline to tell. In essence, it’s like SAW V.5, or some weird STVG sequel. Playing Jigsaw’s games from the comfort of your own home? Sounds like fun!
While there aren’t any promotion stills from the game at this time, there is a new WEBSITE you can go to and sign up for updates. I’m assuming this means they’ll let you be the first to know if – and when – any news coming out of the SAW video game camp hits. Or, at the very least, you’ll be updated when the site is updated with a bit more content than it has right now.
So SIGN UP FOR UPDATES, and get ready for Brash Entertainment’s SAW video game, out in stores eveywhere this October.
