Carpenter sues

You know it’s a slow news day when I revert to petty Hollywood lawsuits and all around gossip as a ‘news’ story, but… it’s a slow news day, and as the Hollywood players involved are director John Carpenter, concerning his landmark film HALLOWEEN, I figured I’d make an exception.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Carpenter is currently suing film producer Irwin Yablans and distributor Compass International Pictures for a wages unpaid since 2004. Apparently, Carpenter gets a nice little check every quarter for HALLOWEEN from these guys (maybe that’s why there are so many DVD editions for it out there), and they haven’t paid him in nearly four years.

That’s it. That’s the story. Carpenter sues for money that’s rightfully his – the details, like the contract and how much money is actually owed has not been revealed, but does it matter? No. It doesn’t. And there you have it. For the FULL story, go ahead and click HERE.

I wonder if Jamie Lee is owed money too…
