Trailer to the Prom

For those convinced that remaking PROM NIGHT was a bad idea, it’s time to give yourself a pat on the back. Because from the looks of the new trailer, you were right!

UGO has the new trailer for PROM NIGHT, and boy does it look awful. I was diggin’ the build-up for a while, as I like when trailers play it ‘straight’ until about halfway, then pull a complete 360 on the audience, revealing the movie’s actually a completely different genre they were expecting. In this case, starting off as a high school coming of age movie, and then diving into a horror movie about mid-way.

Unfortunately for us, the coming of age high school movie looked a whole lot better than this sorry excuse for a ‘horror’ film. Forget about it being a remake for a second, it looks like a lame excuse for a slasher movie as well, as the killer’s shoes aren’t all that scary, and from the looks of it… he doesn’t wear a mask, he doesn’t have a gimmick, and they already know who he is. Say, this isn’t the PROM NIGHT I remember!

To see the horror of it all, go ahead and click HERE, and get ready for Brittany Snow in PROM NIGHT April 11th.
