Dave Payne directed a little indie flick a while back called REEKER, and while I have yet to see it, I’ve only heard good things, so it has to be at least somewhat decent, right?

HorrorMovies.ca scored a poster for Payne’s latest entry in horror known as THE SEEING, a movie I haven’t even heard of until today. Of course, that’s neither here nor there, as the poster has me intrigued enough to learn more… even if it does appear to be a little too much like the upcoming Jessica Alba flick THE EYE, as well as the poster for THE RETURN.

However, besides the poster, it looks like that’s where the similarities with THE EYE ends – check out the synopsis for THE SEEING: Trapped in a California mansion with a brutal serial killer, a young woman together with her high school friends try to outwit and escape the horrible future she has been able to witness thanks to her unique seeing powers.

Seeing powers? Yikes. THE SEEING sounds like it could be fun, but it also sounds like it could… suck ass. I hope it leans more on the edge of being fun – with a plot outline like that, how could it not?

Any opportunity I have to look at Jessica Alba, I take it!
