Well CLOVERFIELD is less than a month away. That’s pretty hard to beleive isn’t it? To think the first trailer hit nearly 6 months ago, got the internet in a ruckus, left us unfulfilled, and now the markting is resurfacing and trying to win us back. It’s like a wild roller coaster ride.

Between the TV spots Ammon told you about, trailers, and stills that are all running around, the advertising for this film is pretty much at an all time high. And considering how the buzz has tilted back and forth for this one, I’m sure this isn’t the end. Well today Filmz.ru posted an international trailer for the film. You can check that out over here. It’s got some footage not seen in any of the other trailers, so it’s worth checking out.

Something interesting I noticed over at SFist, in San Francisco the marketing for CLOVERFIELD has gone all DARK KNIGHT on us. Meaning it’s going all out and placing itself in random, public places.. like the sidewalk for example.

Interesting. As you can see, someone went all over San Francisco writing “What is CLOVERFIELD? 1-18-08” all over the place. I don’t know, it just seems like CLOVERFIELD is trying to bank off THE DARK KNIGHT’s successfuly mystery advertising. Either way, CLOVERFIELD hits theaters January 18, 2008 and you know damn well we’re all going to see it just to find out .. well… What is CLOVERFIELD? Plus we wanna see the monster.
