The Hollywood Reporter announced this morning that the lovely Rhona Mitra just landed a role in the upcoming thriller BOY IN A BOX for director Anders Anderson.
Written by Glenn Taranto, BOX is about a small-town police chief determined to discover the truth behind the mummified remains of a boy who was murdered a half-century earlier.
Sounds like a pretty hard core investigative thriller! Others already cast include Josh Lucas, Jon Hamm, James Van Der Beek, Marcus Thomas, Jimmy Bennett and Jessica Chastain. Yes, you read that right: James Van Der Beek aka The Beek! Doublescore!
The cast sounds pretty awesome, and adding the likes of Mitra as the the police chief’s wife is definitely a plus. The only downside? Maybe it’s because I’m about as juvenile as they come, but when I see the title BOY IN A BOX, all I can think of is the infamous D*CK IN A BOX. Plus SNL just aired that episode this past Saturday night, and it’s now the holidays… yup, D*CK IN A BOX is about all I can think of right now. No, I don’t what one for Christmas, it’s just so damn funny!!!
But I must move on. Filming on BOY IN A BOX has not started yet, but you’ll be the first to know when they do. And now… head THIS WAY to really get that catchy tune stuck in your head today.
