Earlier this week it was announced that the Norwegian slasher flick COLD PREY (a.k.a. FRITT VILT) was picked up for U.S. theatrical distribution. If that wasn’t cool enough, today Twitch Film just got the details for the film’s recently green-lit sequel, COLD PREY 2!

Written by PREY writer/director Roar Uthaug, COLD PREY 2 closely follows the events that took place in COLD PREY… huge freakin’ SPOILERS for those who haven’t seen it yet… The story will pick up where the first one left off: The winter of 2006 five young friends met a brutal death in the Jotunheimen mountain range of Norway. Only a young woman survived. Cold and weak Jannicke struggles her way back to civilization. In the small local hospital the personnel are going through their daily routines. But then the bloody and beaten young woman is brought in. Later Jannicke wakes up in her hospital bed. But the hospital is darkened and not a living soul is in sight. Alone she carefully steps out into the corridors. Is her nightmare not over after all?

I haven’t seen PREY yet, and really… if word of mouth is anything (and it is)… then I can’t freakin’ wait to check it out when it’s released next year, as everyone says PREY is da bomb! Nothing like a good ol’ secluded slasher movie to put me in a good mood. And now there’s a sequel to look forward to as well? F*ckin’ A!

To check out the full scoop, including just who will be directing the sequel, go ahead and click HERE, and get ready for COLD PREY 2 sometime next year (it’s their target, anyway).
