Punish next Sept.

After months of waiting, Lionsgate finally threw us a bone as to when we’re gonna be seeing Frank Castle and his arsenal of guns ‘n ammo blast across the screen for the third time around. You ready for it? September 12, 2008!

Hot damn that’s a long ways away, and yet… I can’t think of a better way to end a summer of DARK KNIGHTS and INDIANA JONES than seeing PUNISHER: WAR ZONE on the big screen! Count me in! There was a time when I might have thought that a September release was like a February release (re: dumping ground for basura), but with successes like RESIDENT EVIL: EXTINCTION, I’m beginning to think studios are starting to respect the September release month as a force to reckon with… let’s hope WAR ZONE is as awesome as we’re hoping it to be.

Ray Stevenson, Dominic West, Doug Hutchinson, Colin Salmon, Wayne Knight, Dash Mihok, and Julie Benz star in the new flick. Damn, Julie Benz is hot. And she’s also in the upcoming RAMBO. Do I smell up and coming star here? I think so! Mark your calendars early, as PUNISHER: WAR ZONE hits theaters everywhere September 12th, 2008.
