Final Destination 4!

The Hollywood Reporter busted out with some seriously exciting news this morning: David R. Ellis is returning to direct FINAL DESTINATION 4 for New Line Cinema! And guess what? This time it’s gonna be in 3-D!!!

Considering that I’m a HUGE fan of the series and I love 3-D movies, this is simply music to my ears! Ellis is the dude who brought us FINAL DESTINATION 2, which (to this day) features one of the best car accident sequences ever filmed – I can only imagine what he has planned for us this time around.

The story and plot details are being kept under wraps at this point, so the only thing we do know is that it will be in 3-D. There was talk that FINAL DESTINATION 3 was going to be in 3-D at one point, but the idea was eventually scratched (would have been more fitting, considering it was part 3, but what can you do?). Eric Bress wrote the script, and as he also co-wrote FD2, I think FD4 is going to be in very good hands… I can’t flippin’ wait!

Expect to hear about what good looking unknowns will be cast just to die elaborate deaths (and in 3-D!!!) in the upcoming weeks, in the meantime, let’s contemplate if Mary Elizabeth Winstead will be returning for a second round.

Thanks to Tump for the heads up!
