Wow! You know a movie’s coming out soon when it seems like everyday there’s some new shit out for it. Case in point is Stephen King’s THE MIST, hitting theaters everywhere in just over a week. Not that over saturation is a bad thing, but too much can be… well, too much!
Rope of Silicon scored the new poster art for the flick, and while it smells like one we’ve already seen on the surface, take a closer look at what Thomas Jane and Laurie Holden (I’m just guessing that’s who that is) are starring at… all that end of the world stuff is new! Cool!
Not only that, but there’s a HUGE, and I mean gargantuan sized quote at the top toting how frickin awesome THE MIST is, which would have worked for me… until it’s revealed that it’s a quote from Peter Hammond, the Maxim movie guy. That guy loves EVERYTHING! He loves everything so much, that when I see his name on any movie poster or DVD box, I dismiss it completely… seeing as he likes everything from really crappy movies to true masterpieces. My respect for THE MIST almost goes down a notch because they used this Hammond quote… almost….
