The good folks over at Cinematical scored the all new and totally omniscient poster for J.A. Bayona’s THE ORPHANAGE today… and boy is it sweet!
Produced by Guillermo del Toro, THE ORPHANAGE is looking to rock North American audiences in the last week of 2007, with hopes of cashing in (both at the box office and through critical acclaim) much like it’s more well-known step-sister PAN’S LABYRINTH, which pulled a similar move about this time last year. Hey, if it isn’t broken, why fix it, right?
The new poster reminds me of a book cover (maybe it’s the border surrounding the bulk of it), and it gives me a pretty good idea about what this orphanage is about… mainly, ghosts. And a creepy little kids. And a creepy little kid in a creepy little mask. So yeah… I guess it works!
To check it out in all of it’s glory, go ahead and click HERE, and get ready for THE ORPHANAGE in theaters December 28th.
