So it excites me to say that, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Robert Tapert and Sam Raimi’s Ghost House Pictures has picked up THE TATTOOIST for North American distribution. Sweet! While they haven’t said if it’s getting a theatrical or simply an STD DVD release, I have a feeling this beast is hitting theaters…

Starring Jason Behr, THE TATTOOIST centers on Samoan spiritual beliefs about a U.S. tattoo artist who unwittingly unleashes a powerful and angry spirit with one of his designs. If this were to happen to me, I think the only spirits that’d be releases would be that of good times and High Life… so I guess I should consider myself lucky I’m not this guy!
